Cabbit and 12 animals in the moon jar
달항아리에서 놀고 있는 12간지 동물들을 그려보았습니다. 토끼, 쥐, 돼지, 호랑이, 소, 원숭이는 이미 도착해서 앉아있어요. 자세히 보면 뱀은 토끼의 팔에 앉아있습니다. 말과 용, 닭, 양은 달항아리 속으로 들어가고 있는 중입니다. 그리고 작가 자신은 달항아리 뒷편에서 이 모든 과정을 지켜보고 있습니다.
There are 12 animals playing in the moon jar. The Rabbit, the mouse, the pig, the tiger, the cow and the monkey have already arrived and are sitting down. If you look closely, the snake is sitting on the rabbit's arm. The horse, the dragon, the chicken and the sheep are entering the moon jar. And the artist is watching the whole process from behind the moon jar.
Two deer in the moon jar
조선 백자, 달 항아리 안에 있는 무릉도원에서 사탕을 좋아하는 사슴 두 마리가 뛰어 노는 모습을 그린 작품입니다. 다양한 형태의 원 패턴들을 활용하여 전통적인 민화 요소와 현대적인 요소가 위트 있게 어우러지는 모습을 보실 수 있습니다. 항아리 윗쪽에는 막대 사탕을 든 토끼 고양이, 캐빗으로 작가 자신을 투영하여 제 3자의 모습으로 자신의 그림속 세상을 지켜보고 있습니다.
This work depicts two candy-loving deer jumping around in the Mureungdowon in a Joseon white celadon moon jar. You can see the witty blend of traditional folklore and modern elements by utilizing various types of circular patterns. At the top of the jar, there is Cabit, a rabbit/cat, with a lollipop. I projected myself onto Cabit as a third-party image, it is watching the world in her painting.

12간지 동물들이 Moon jar shop 프로젝트 멤버가 되었습니다. 12간지 동물들과 달항아리를 통해 우리가 일상적으로 사용하는 온라인 쇼핑몰을 기획하고 만들고 실제로 운영되는 모습을 볼 수 있어요.

12간지 동물들과 달항아리 오브제를 통해 AI(인공지능)의 원리를 표현하고자 하였습니다. 동물들이 달항아리(Moon jar), 달(Moon), 항아리(Jar) 단어와 달항아리와 달 이미지를 인공지능 엔진을 상징하는 스마트 토끼의 말풍선에 넣습니다. 이것은 달항아리Output을 위한 input입니 다. 달항아리에 대해 학습한 토끼는 달항아리의 여러 가지 Output을 만들게 되는데요. 결과물을 보시면, 달+항아리, 달 그림이 그려져 있는 항아리, 달항아리가 보입니다. 결과 중에서 동물들이 고른 “달항아리”는 “picked” 표시가 되어있습니다.
The artist tries to demonstrate the principle of AI (artificial intelligence) through the twelve zodiac animals and the moon jar. The animals put the words of moon jar, moon, jar, images of the moon jar and the moon into the speech bubble of a smart rabbit. This speech bubble symbolizes an artificial intelligence engine. This is an input for the moon jars result, after learning about the moon jar, the rabbit starts to make various products of moon jars. If you look at the finished product, you can see the moon, jar, and the moon jar with the drawing of the moon displayed. Among the results, the "moon jar" chosen by the animals is marked "picked."

달항아리를 가지고 있는 12간지 동물들이 각자 좋아하는 음식을 준비해서 온라인 파티를 하고 있어요. 작가의 실제 경험을 모티브로 작업했어요. 등장하는 동물들은 작가의 회사 동료이기도 해요.
달항아리를 들고 포도를 먹는 토끼,
맥주를 마시는 호랑이와 돼지,
우유와 치즈 케익을 먹고 있는 양,
함께 와인을 마시는 닭과 말,
바나나를 들고 있는 원숭이,
맥주를 좋아하는 뱀,
그리고 파티 인증샷을 찍고 있는 소,
크기가 워낙 작아서
다른 동물들이 잘 볼 수 있게 앞에 나와 있는 쥐,
모처럼 만나서 이야기 하기 바쁜 용과 개.
12간지 동물은 아니지만 파티에 카메라 오프로 참석한 고양이까지.
작품 속 장면처럼 언젠가는 제 작품 컬렉터들과
온라인 파티를 하고 싶습니다.
The twelve animals with moon jars prepared their favorite food and are having an online party. The rabbit eating grapes in a moon jar, the tiger and the pig drinking beer, the sheep drinking milk and eating cheesecake, the chicken and the horse drinking wine together, the monkey holding a banana, the snake that likes beer, the cow taking pictures of the party, the tiny mouse standing at the front so other animals can see it well, the dragon and the dog busy talking since they haven’t seen each other for a long time and even the cat which is not one of the 12 zodiac animals, but attended the party with the camera off. The scene of the online party that I experienced in person was reproduced through animals. The moon jar is the main object that appears in the "Moon Jar Collection" I am currently drawing. Like the scene in this work, I hope to have an online party with the collectors of my moon jar collection someday.

작가가 동물들에게 해태 달항아리를 소개하고 있습니다. 집중해서 열심히 듣고 있는 동물들도 보이 고, 그렇지 않은 동물도 보입니다. 실제로 온라인 미팅을 하면서 직접 볼 수 있을 법한 장면을 동물들을 통해 위트 있게 표현해 보았습니다.
The artist is introducing a Haetae (mythological animal) moon jar to the animals. Some animals are listening carefully, some are not. I expressed the scenes that I experienced in real life during the meetings, through animals in a witty way.
